More than iron doors, more than walls, it is the tiny peephole that really makes the prisoner feel locked in.

Artist Statement
This design is inspired by the Kōbō Abe quote: “More than iron doors, more than walls, it is the tiny peephole that really makes the prisoner feel locked in.” The work explores themes of visibility, control, and perception through layered transparencies, evoking both the limited perspective of the prisoner and the constant exposure they endure.
