Artist Statement
“Those who burn books will in the end burn people” is a quote attributed to German poet, Heinrich Heine. This quote is about the censorship of books and the effect censorship can have on controlling public opinion. My work explores themes of oppression and isolation and how cenioring specific media can lead to censoring human beings.
