Frida Kahlo (1907–1945) Mexican artist.
Considered one of Mexico’s greatest artists, Kahlo’s work centers on pain, passion, and bright colors inspired by Mexican folk art. Her work was greatly influenced by her physical struggles, her political activism, and her relationships with other artists. The 1970s brought new attention to Kahlo through the lens of the feminist movement and her popularity continues today.
