Margaret Burroughs (1915–2010) American visual artist, writer, poet, educator, and arts organizer.
A long time educator at DuSable High School and Kennedy-King College, Burroughs was a prolific artist and author. Her artwork often focused on racial division and her writing on the Black experience, particularly for children. She also helped to establish the South Side Community Art Center, co-founded the DuSable Museum, and served as Chicago Park District Commissioner.
